Amy Kim Waschke
is a Korean American actor and writer based in Los Angeles.
Amy received her MFA from the University of Washington training under Jon Jory, Catherine Madden, Robyn Hunt and Steve Pearson. After graduate school she moved to New York where she worked regularly with the Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company, lead by writer Qui Nguyen (Disney’s Raya and The Last Dragon) and director Robert Ross Parker (Vietgone). Ms. Waschke was the lead in many of their raucous, irreverent, comic book-style comedies. In 2012, she met director, playwright and MacArthur Genius, Mary Zimmerman, and toured the US and China as the titular character in Zimmerman’s epic play THE WHITE SNAKE. Ms. Waschke is a proud company member of Oregon Shakespeare Festival where favorite roles include Hermione in THE WINTER’S TALE, Emilia in OTHELLO, Lady Macbeth in MACBETH, and Beatrice in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. Her television credits include Mythic Quest (Apple TV+), Magnum P.I. (NBC), NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS), and Law & Order SVU (NBC). When she is not acting, Amy enjoys cooking, trail running with her dog Gus, and writing. She is currently working on a book of essays about the transracial adoptee experience.
“Vibrantly dangerous... Waschke’s Madame de Senneterre, who becomes more implicated in the action she cheekily annotates, is the most striking figure in the production.”

Amy Kim Waschke’s Lady Macbeth delves deeply into the unravelling of her mind… her soul and sanity destroyed by the blood on her hands. It’s done with wonderful imagination and execution with Waschke simply memorizing and tragic. —Siskiyou Daily News
